Merely looking at both devices here, it’s hard to tell them apart. Both the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro have a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution, a pixel per inch density of 409 and an aspect ratio of 19:9 with a water drop notch which houses the front-facing camera. The Screen on both devices is also covered with a Corning Gorilla 5 for screen protection. At the back is a dual camera setup at the top left side with a dual-LED flash underneath. A fingerprint sensor sits at its usual centre position at both device’s back which is used for biometric Authentication/verification. Both devices also weigh 186 grams, measures 8.1mm and come in the same colour options – Blue, Black and Twilight Gold.

This is perhaps the only difference between these two devices. The Redmi Note 7 is equipped with a Snapdragon 606 SoC – A chipset based on the 14nm process technology with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz paired and an Adreno 512 GPU. Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, uses the newer Snapdragon 675 SoC which is based on the newer 11nm process technology and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an Adreno 612 GPU. However, both devices have the same configurations options; a 3GB RAM configuration that comes with 32GB of Internal storage and a 4GB or 6GB RAM configuration that comes with 64GB of Internal storage. All configuration’s storage is expandable via the second SIM slot which doubles as a microSD card slot (Hybrid Slot). Obviously, both devices run MIUI 10 out of the box which based on the latest Android operating system – Android 9.0 Pie.
Camera, Battery & Connectivity
We have a total of 6 cameras here; 3 on each device. Again, both the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are rocking the same set of the camera both at the front and at the rear. At the rear, both devices have an impressive 48MP main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF alongside a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Features of the rear camera include a dual-LED flash, HDR and Panorama. 1080p video recording is also available at 30, 60 and 120fps. The water drop notch at the front of both devices houses the 13MP selfie camera which has HDR and is also capable of 1080p video recording but at a maximum of 30fps.
The Redmi Note 7, as well as the Note 7 Pro, are powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ which should able to go from 0 to 60% in less than an hour and a full charge in less than two hours. Both devices are also packing 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio and a USB Type-C port.

Redmi Note 7 has a starting price of about $200 for the base version of 3GB/32GB and can go as high as $250 for the 6GB/64GB configuration. Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, has been released yet but starting price is said to start around $250 for the base 3GB/32GB configuration and $300 for Biggest 6GB/64GB configuration.
