D&d 5e Races And Classes
I have a friend who has never played D&D before and is interested in creating a 5th edition campaign. They were looking to do a whole that is populated by just humans and anthropomorphic animals so I wanted to get a list of all the races so we could see which ones to include and exclude. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the playable races in D&D 5e? Or, really, any races that a player could make as a character?

I did come across this here (https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/5e_Races) but I realize that a lot of these are homebrew races and while I'm not excluding homebrew I was looking for something that was much more official.
Any help you can give is much appreciated! And I also appreciate any advice or comments you can give.
