Spacedesk On Mac With Windows
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Spacedesk is a popular choice to transform your Android into a second display monitor for Windows PC. I like spacedesk because it works on LAN so you don’t need an active Internet connection. The setup is easy and works wirelessly. You can connect your PC and Android via USB, Wi-Fi or LAN. So, connect to the Spacedesk website download page and press the Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 10 (32-bit) buttons if you have the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system or on the Windows 7/8.1 (64- bit) or Windows 7 / 8.1 (32-bit) if you have Windows 8.1 or 7. Once the installation is complete, grab your smartphone or tablet and proceed with the download of the Spacedesk app from.

Works
I have a specific need that this meets.
That said, be advised that since your device is now functioning as a monitor, and even though you may have touch enabled, your device keyboard will not pop up to allow text input via the device.
For me this is a minor issue because I’m using the device as a monitor at the distance limits of a WiFi signal. IOW, I’m far away from the computer.
I’m using this in a manner not envisioned by the developers. I’m just letting others who may have a similar need know. It’s certainly not a deal breaker, especially since I’m pushing its limits.
So much better than Duet
I moved from Duet because their software broke my computer. I had to restore it because Duet disabled my dedicated GPU and it wouldn’t work even after the app was uninstalled.
SpaceDesk is less intrusive, free, doesn’t require an account, and works better than Duet. The only issue with this app is that you lose connectivity when you trigger the Notification Center or when you receive a call (if you have hand off enabled). Minor issues that can be fixed via a software update.
In the time being I highly recommend SpaceDesk.
Developer Response,
Hi dr4kool4,
first of all thank you for your positive feedback! Could you please describe us the problems further (Notification Center/Call). The best way to do this would be to fill out a form for our support on our website describing your problems. You'll help us a lot with that!

I have no idea why this app isn't on top productivity apps.
This is far better than duet display, and it doesn't even need any other dongles to make it work.
But the keyboard support should be added.
Developer Response,
Hi kch79624,
thank you for your feedback! The keyboard feature is on our future feature list for the year 2019. Please stay tuned!
